Johnny Oskam

My name is Johnny Oskam. I am professional musician and a devout Catholic. I do a lot of different things in music from producing records for my own rock band, Systerian, to leading worship and composing for film and TV. I also have a few private students in various instruments. I also write screenplays for fun with my brother Michael on the side. When I’m not being creative, I enjoy watching movies and spending time with friends. I love eating good food. Oh, and I’m really good at ping pong.

Throughout my journey as a struggling sinner and observer of life I like to think that I have learned a few things. I spend a lot of time thinking deeply about my own experiences and struggles and how they might relate to the general human experience. Recently I decided to start a blog to share some of these ideas and I thought of no better place than my personal website. I will be exploring subjects like psychology, religion, theology, physics and other sciences. I am by no means an expert in any of these fields. I am just a dude going through life who has learned a few things and likes to think about things and wants to share those things with others. I hope this blog inspires you to dive deep into introspection, face your own demons, come to experience God, or even be entertained about an interesting topic for 5 minutes.
